On July 12 at 8pm, we’ll be your musical hosts for an evening of fun stuff at Theatre of NOTE (it’s a benefit for our upcoming production of Driving Wilde). It’s a grab bag, and I’m pretty sure it’s not suitable for kids. Acts include famous actor Paul Dooley and wife Winnie; excellent standup Cat Davis; perverse and hysterical ventriloquist Karl Herlinger; burlesque dancer Estella Detroit and many more. It kicks off at 8 with Fiona Lakeland’s touching one-person show Charlotte’s World, then the rest of the acts start at about 9. Tickets are a very reasonable $15, and you can get them here.
Warning/enticement: Silvie’s singing voice may make you swoon off your chair.
Ox Mayfield is back!
Fridays thru Mondays through August 18, then weekends through Labor Day, you can immerse yourself in Ghost Town Alive at Knott’s Berry Farm. The award-winning immersive, interactive, theatrical experience is like Westworld but family-friendly. And as I have for three seasons now, I play the grandaddy of the town’s outlaw clan. Come on down and let me hold you up.
